SERGI BAYARRI

Sergi Bayarri Sancho is a Spanish clarinetist and bass clarinetist, member of Delirium Ensemble since 2020.

In the last years he had participated at international festivals like Lucerne Festival (2019 with Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra), Impuls Festival, Winener Tage für Neue Kammermusik y 180º Laboratory for Innovative Art (with International Ensemble Modern Academy 2018-19), 66th Internacional Festival of Santander (2017 with Quartet Ad Libitum), Festival Ensems (2016 with JOGV) o Rafel Festival (2019 by himself) among others.

With Delirium Ensemble he premiered pieces from composers like Johannes Kreidler (>Music-19<), Oliver Rutz (Dedicated to the conductor), Gitbi Kwon (Die Hütte), Lina Posecnaite (I am not there), Raphael Belfiore (Means with the sound from their own ends), Balz Trümpy (7 inventionen), Piotr Peszat (An accomplished Young Lady), Demetre Gamsachurdia (Demiurgos 2.0) among others.

Sergi is also member-founder of Ensemble Vèrtex València, member of Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra and Alumni, and works from time to time with other internationally renowned ensembles, like Ensemble Modern from Frankfurt, since 2019.

He worked with important international composers and conductors, like George Benjamin, Enno Poppe, Stefan Asbury, Ilan Volkov, Heiner Goebbels, Wolfgang Rihm, Lucas Vis, Dieter Ammann, Cristóbal Soler or Pablo Rus Broseta among others, and he played in relevant concert halls like Elbphilarmonie Hamburg, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Kölner Philarmonie, Roundhouse London, Frankfurt LAB, KKL Luzern, Palau de les Arts Reina Sola or Palau de la Música de València.

Between 2010 and 2017 he has won more than twenty prizes at chamber music competitions around Spain, and between 2013 and 2018 he participated with 4 different young orchestras, also in Spain.

Sergi studied with Emilio Ferrando Peris at Conservatorio Superior de Música de València, with Jaan Bossier at the International Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt, and nowadays he is studying a MA Specialized Performance Soloist at HKB with Ernesto Molinari.
